Being a Female, What is your Clothing Style?

Who says mess is bad for graphic designers? Especially when that mess helps in forming an amazing artwork, we should create mess more often. Yes folks, I’m alluding to the creative concept of creating art using useless junk. When you have so much mess lying around in your vicinity, then what better way of cleaning it up then to transform it into a fabulous art form.

As I have said umpteen times, creativity has no bounds. Art can be created from anything in this world. The fact that useless objects lying around in our junkyard can be fabricated into artwork signifies the elevation of art. The artworks that I have decided to showcase today will show you the value of junk for graphic design. You will be amazed to see how useless garbage items can be used to create brilliant pieces of designs.

So get ready to be inspired with these 28 wonderful artworks made entirely from junk materials:

That looks much more like a Scottish Terrier than it does a horse…

    Otherwise, it’s all pretty cool.

Um,,,.the two “business card” artworks are really made of 3 1/2 inch floppy disks which went the way of the Dodo when CDs and USB drives took over for storage.

Love the one on Michael Jackson. Are those pills/tablets medicine? This definitely inspired me to look at things from an “out of the box” perspective. I guess art can be made from just about anything , we just need to get our creative juices flowing.

Some great pieces of work here. It just goes to show that inspiration can come from anywhere.

I particularly like the ‘Egg Shell Chicken’ because it is a great twist on the link between chickens and eggs and must have taken skill to use such a delicate material.I like the outcome because it is simple, effective and fun.

I also really like the use of floppy disks in art work. This is something that I have also done prior to this blog post. I feel it is a great to use an out of date piece of technology and to give it a new lease of life.

Uhm.. the ones you have labelled as ‘business card’ are floppy discs.
And one of the ‘horse’ ones is actually a dog.

I have recently gotten into amassing “junk” and using it for artwork….actually, it’s been photographing really “ugly” and organic things and turning them into Photoshop patterns, brushes, and artwork. Living in a rural area, you find LOTS of opportunities for taking pictures of muck, dreck, poop, dead things, and so forth – and it’s all very beautiful in its own way because – well — it’s real.

But people do look at you weird when you’re downloading your latest collection of horse poop photos.

And you don’t get invited to a lot of parties. :)
