With the rapid development of media and promotion, advertising is almost impossible to avoid. Simply put, advertising is everywhere. The graphic design field has significantly helped in development of advertising. Long gone are the days when advertisers did not have the tools for executing their ideas. With graphic design software, print advertisements can now be created with ease. Whatever you conceptualize can be easily visualized through graphic designing. The core purpose of an advertisement is to sell a product or service. So, if it doesn’t sell, it doesn’t tell. Conceptual advertising is about delivering the message and services to the audience in an interesting manner. Designing a print ad is far more difficult than creating a TV ad due to lack of space. To say more with less is the challenge in print ads, hence they require a powerful concept. |

So many that are so good….Hard to pick a “best concept”. I really liked the Papermate “ultra fine” ad. Maybe Sarah Palin should use that pen rather than writing her speech notes in the palm of her hand.
-
That’s a huge collection!
My favs would be:
Friends of the Earth
Panasonic nose trimmer: Baldy
Reserved for drunk driversMatch.com – great marketing idea. The one who manage it – genius.
Other looks a bit cheesy and doesn’t impress very much. Just my opinion of course.
-
wow..great collection…love the creativity…
-
they’re all really amazing. Thanks for sharing. Some really ingenious. The save energy one is probably what I’d pick as the best. Can’t really say why.
-
I really like the “This space reserved for drunk drivers”, the Law and Order light and the “Use Electricity Wisely” ones…all genius ideas!
-
This Whole Collection is Superb!
Out of These… ‘The vacuum Cleaner’ add and ‘pollution is Closer’ Was really good!

Love the concepts. Great. That is what clients pay for not production like most of the web is all about.
-
“Don’t Jump” is a funny ad. I guess if you were sitting in an office looking down thinking about changing jobs it would grab your attention.
Thanks
Dan

I think the WWF ones are the most striking ones. We should really work hard to to save our environment before it is too late.
-
The Friends of the Earth ad is hilarious…and gives everyone a point blank message right in front of them..brilliant..
The ad of the vacuum cleaners is absolutely ingenious..took a few seconds to get it though..!! connects very well with a customer

Wow! These are great concepts. I think overall, I really like the billboards that cleverly use the real world. Look at “Eskom – Save Energy” for example, it’s extremely simple but oh so powerful! The only problem is that this billboard will only work during the night… and most traffic is done during the day. Return on investment for this ad is questionable.
“Don’t jump – Career Builder” is pretty amazing, too.
Thanks for posting ; )

[...] Since applying to college for advertisement, I seem to be more intrigued with the ads I see on a day to day basis. 9 time out of 10, the one’s that really stand out to are the one that think outside the box and/or utilize the environment around them. Here some conceptual advertisements that I have hand picked from a list of ‘40 Conceptual Print Ads‘. [...]

Inside baseball. Ads considered more creative may or may not be effective in driving behavior or having the desired effect. A bunch of self-congratulatory nonsense.

paper mate .. extra fine
-
The anti-McD advert (the painted baby) – that has to catch your eye. Oh! Just a horrid thought that they’re already after your children to be indoctrinated into globalcorporatism ™.
-
Whoa! Some of these images have to be the most startling ways to get attention I’ve seen so far this year.
The Wildlife Fund Tiger / child image is the most haunting. Pity those who it is aimed at (the poachers) probably can’t read.

Love the smart car ad! It’s visual and interactive. Imagining a car parked in a grocery aisle out of it’s regular environment is highly effective at grabbing the attention. It’s reminds me of readymade/found art, take something, put it out of it;s regular context and it becomes art. Inspiring Ad! How rare is that?!
