Being a Female, What is your Clothing Style?

FIFA Poster

The FIFA World Cup 2010 is at full stretch as nearly half of the group stage matches have already taken place. As a graphic designer and a football fanatic myself, I decided to collect the most spectacular graphic design related material created especially for the World Cup.

Today’s compilation includes the official posters of FIFA World Cup, the supporting posters of playing teams and a highly graphic World Cup calendar. Each of these promotional materials is a treat to watch and serves as a great source of inspiration for graphic designers. So…enough thinking about how to tackle difficult clients, it’s time to enjoy the vibrancy and extravagance of the FIFA World Cup 2010.

FIFA official promotional posters:

Here is the official FIFA World Cup 2010 poster that was chosen way back in 2007. It was designed by Switch Design (also responsible for the 2010 logo).

FIFA Poster

Next are the official posters of each host city of South Africa that is entertaining the World Cup matches.

2. Nelspruit

3. Johannesburg

4. Tshwane-Pretoria

5. Rustenburg

6. Mangaung-Bloemfontein

8. Durban

9. Nelson Mandela Bay – Port Elizabeth

Inspirational World Cup Team posters:

The New York agency Wieden + Kennedy, makers of many conceptual ads, has created posters for each of the 32 playing teams. Following are 10 of the best illustrative posters of the national teams.

1. England

2. Brazil

3. Argentina

4. Spain

5. USA

6. France

7. Germany

8. Italy

9. Australia

10. Slovenia

Football 3D technology:

For the first time in history, FIFA is broadcasting football in 3D. Sony, an official FIFA Partner will deliver 3D images from up to 25 matches of the World Cup. This revolutionary concept allows viewers watching the matches on Sony’s 3D products to experience the sheer intimacy and precision of the action as if they were actually on the pitch.

FIFA World Cup 2010 Smart Calendar:

In the end, for our readers who are football crazy, here is a wonderful and comprehensive calendar of the FIFA World Cup 2010, courtesy marca.com. It is highly user-friendly and extremely detailed. Click on the image below to view it in full screen and enjoy! :)

I love the first poster and the team posters. Those illustrations are amazing! I usually don’t follow soccer, so for me the team posters are better than the actual game.

    Thanks for posting these!

Wonderful collection of football graphics…the official host city posters were not really impressive though. Nothing professional about them…i think they were designed by locals. The main official poster is absolutely mindblowing the way it portrays the map of Africa :D

I really enjoyed the inpirational posters of indicidual teams and the best of them all was England ;) Although my favorite team is Brazil :)

Fascinating insight on the world cup graphic designs mate! My favorite one was the brazil poster showing kaka in it.

I’ve heard about the 3D technology but never used it… wish i’d knew how it felt to experience it on a football match live.

The calendar was simply amazing! I’m definitely gonna use this throughout the world cup… thanks again for sharing such useful material.

not much of a football fan but a very catchy banner u have for this post, i mean if it wasn’t for this i never would’ve come inside the post to read it! Nevertheless, since i saw the entire posters, i came to like the inspirational ones more than the official ones by FIFA. Very imaginative posters and quite amusing as well..

Oh yeah… n the calendar you have linked here is super dooper!

The official FIFA World Cup 2010 poster that was chosen way back in 2007and designed by Switch Design is highly creative…the hidden map of africa is the true essence of this poster.

The rest of the host city posters are a joke…did they did them made from kids? seriously if they did then its not a good thing to do as the event is extremely big and this type of amateur work is not acceptable

Ingenious world cup calendar…glad to have found it here thank you!

Of all promotional posters, I love the second one (Nelspruit), it gives me a sense of South Africa with the lovely textures and rich colors that resembles the ray of the sun. Every detail works perfectly with each other. And are all those team posters actual paintings? If they are, they’re pretty good. I like them, except perhaps for Australia’s which I am finding weird.
