Being a Female, What is your Clothing Style?

In any business, your first impression is the last impression that you make on your customers. Likewise, in order to be a successful graphic designer, you must make a firsthand impact on your potential clientele. And what better way to make an impression than through your graphic design portfolio. By exhibiting your creative talent within your portfolio, you can catch the attention of your potential clients.

Since the competition for graphic designers is getting tougher by the day, the need for uniqueness and novelty is crucial in order to survive in the graphic design field. A creatively designed and impressive graphic designer portfolio depends on four main factors, namely: Layout, Correct Placement of Work, User Friendliness and Uniqueness. Any portfolio that exhibits these characteristics can be considered an effective one.

Today, I round up the 30 most creatively designed graphic designer portfolios of 2011. These portfolios reveal creativity and inventiveness of the graphic designers.

Some are better than others, but good inspiration and interesting concepts nonetheless!

Richie P Designs is unique you don’t see anything close to what they did on any of the other pictures. They are seem pretty good from what I saw.

… Maybe one or two of these are alright, but pretty bad / standard / web 2.0 / done before all round.

A great diverse collection of sites. I feel that some of them are not as strong as others but never the less, it is a great collection of inspirational work. I is also a great help to see how other designers are displaying their work online and how my own work compares. I feel that ‘Ritchie P Designs’ is not as well exacted as it could be and doesn’t give off the impression of an overly skilled designer. The web is overloaded with online portfolios and it is becoming increasingly difficult to outshine other designers. The main aspect of a portfolio is to grab peoples attention once they have landed on your page to make them want to view more, this is where I feel some of the examples fall short. There are some great inspirational examples such as ‘Deda’ ‘BrainART’ and ‘Pieoneer’.

Think everyone of the them each had their own style and navigation. They are free to express their own creativity, it is their portfolio afterall. What better way to do this.

I personally believe that you have done an outstanding work by posting such a wonderful article. It has been seen that design portfolios come in various forms. With many graphic designers’ portfolios online, it’s often hard to stand out from the sea of competition out there. The information you have provided in would surely help most of the people who will read this

Really excellent, particularly the Lounge Lizard portfolio

When you see effective portfolios online it makes you realise just how powerful it is to have a graphic designer + developer working together. 60′s advertising was graphics + words, today you gotta have a developer too, in my opinion
