Hi GraphicDesignBlog team,
My name is Karen and I am representing flashmint.com. I'm not sure if you have heard about our services which is to produce high quality flash templates. I were wondering whether you would be interested in posting one of our articles dedicated to "30+ amazing examples of linear designs" on your website. Look forward to hear from you!

Sincerely,
Karen

I agree with Stephen. There's a lot of really tasteful applications for flash. I think going forward we're going to see it being applied in new 'out of the box' ways.

The only thing about flash is that the basic do's and don't of it are often ignored, even by more talented designers. The examples you showed were awesome. We're going to have to talk more about this on our blog.

Hey Tim,

Yes you are absolutely right, there's a lot to be seen with flash, especially in the future.
When applied tastefully, it can be great, and I will definitely be getting into more in the future.
If you have any suggestions or questions, I'd be glad to take them.

Thanks for the article Charlie - I agree that people should use flash only when necessary or for specific effect.
It is still not a completely use able and accessible technology but is certainly getting better.

Stephen,
You make a couple of valid points, and some that I feel (like the SEO issue) that could use further tips - perhaps you'll get to those in the upcoming parts.

I personally equate Flash to job security (or at least better marketability of your services if underemployed); there is SO much work for skilled Flash designers. A graphic designer unfamiliar with Flash? Get familiar.

The new Flash Catalyst is possibly a way to go if a newbie got scared at the learning curve, but I don't know if that's an approach with "promise" but unproven adoption.
