Photography is a mesmerizing art in itself. It seeks to capture the moments in life and preserve them till eternity. But with the brisk advancements in technology, the art of photography has also benefited in many ways. As more hi-fi equipments are invented, several new and unique styles of photography have surfaced. Many of these methods are also used in the field of graphic design as well.

One of the most traditional but eternal techniques in the field of camera work is black and white photography. It involves using Photoshop to convert an image into a monochromatic picture in order to highlight the core concept of the whole photo. However, touch of “Red Color” makes this style uniquely innovative. Red being an intense color helps in emphasizing the main object in the picture.

    This is a great technique that has stunning effects and can be extremely striking and eye-catching. I agree that photography can be a mesmerizing art form in itself but this effect adds another dimension to this.
    I think this is most effective in Selective colour Photo 6. This image has a strong message and would be lost if it were all black and white but the red has a striking effect and provokes a reaction/feeling. This sums up the phrase, “A picture is worth a thousand words”.

    Yeah, I have made that technique a lot of times, to some works of university but most for my own photos, and gives them a strengh and a different concept, I don’t know how to tell this because I’m chilean but, i think the graphic piece gets a bright, a shine, and a lot of elegance.

    Is used a lot too for give the works what is called as a “breaking the rythm”…
