Nice post! Some great logos there.
I don’t think you can say typographic logos are better than logos that use icons or vice versa. Both types of logos can be very creative. It’s in the simplicity where true creativity lies.
Logos that use icons do have the advantage of using just the icon (if your logo and brand are strong enough).

Very nice collection!
Makes it difficult to choose a preference between typographical and graphical logos…There are definitely more logos appealing to me amont the graphical ones, but seo solution and luna definitely got me, among others.
-
wow wonderful collection….. really impressive…
-
Nice work. Good inspiration!
-
I find typographic logos much harder to create and design. But when done right, they can be very powerful.
-
Awesome collection of logos. Very inspiring. Thanks for sharing this nice post.

Awesome ! Awesome ! Awesome !
Very nice collection!
thanks

First af all, all logos are great and creative, they have individuality, this is the most important. Typographic or Graphical – if simply, it’s a professional way of a logo idea visualization. So, as long as it fits, explains and illustrates in the best way the logo idea/concept – it is right, and no matter what method was used. A good designer should feel and understand what is the perfect way to visualize his client’s logo in each very case. For many times the logo idea and predestination itself suggests the direction of logo realization – Graphical or Typographical.

Very good collection!
Makes it difficult to choose a preference between typographical and graphical logos…In just one sentence “Logo Designing is Art of color and creation with knowledge”.

I like the twenty four seven -logo. It’s very nice and simple solution. I hope I could invent logos like that some day.
Gandhi-logo is also very good. The G as Gandhis head is funny. I like the typography.
On the other hand Fake logos and Wire -logo is isn’t that good. They are difficult to read. There are few others also. I feel that you should understand the logo text quite fast, otherwise you look something else. If you don’t understand it, it doesn’t stick to your head.
-
Nice collection.
-
Ya it’s really typical logos in typical post. Well done. thanks for sharing information with us.
-
all typo logos are much impressive…. but as i think ‘ant’ & ’steps’ are most impressive. Wonderful piece of imagination, a real fabrication work.
-
I honestly wouldn’t be able to decide to choose between the two of them. They both have really unique sides.
I used to hate typography…I thought it was ridiculously boring. But after going to school for graphic design, I realize that its pretty insane.
But graphic logos are just as appealing in my book.
-
Awesome……… Both types are simple awesome.
Simple love the Gandhi & wrong/right……..hats off to the thoughts & designs.
-
Nice collection, but I don’t think you’re making a clean distinction between graphic and typographic designs. Many of the graphical selections rely on the typography for definition. And, many of the typographic ones are essentially graphical. So, your collection, though provocative, is not a good collection to fully make your point. You should do a little more research and find two groups where the graphical ones do not need the typography at all; and good typographic ones that rely much less on graphic design.
-
nice set of logos.
-
excellent collections! kfc’s my favorite though.. keep it up!
